Sichuan Tianyi University, founded 1991, is a private university in SW China in Chengdu. It is among the first universities accredited by the Chinese Ministry of Education in Sichuan.
It has developed into a comprehensive institution of higher education with more than 8,400 students enrolled in eight academic departments on three campuses around Chengdu.
The International Education Center (IEC) has three fast-growing exchange programs offering majors in international Business, Hotel Management, and Business Management with: Holmesglen Institute, Melborne (TAEF); Blue Mountains International Hotel Management College, Sydney; Northwood University, Michigan, USA. All these programs can lead to a BA or MA degrees, with continued study abroad.
The university is located in a suburb of Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan. Position:
1. English Instructor(s) full & part-time (native speakers only, please).
2. Instructors for TAEF international business courses (marketing\ management\ economics,etc) (Chinese or international English speakers. High level of spoken English required.
3. Instructor - Accounting Major.
4. Instructor - Hotel Management courses: hospaitality management, marketing, accoutning/fiance, rooms division, F& B management, etc.
5. All courses taught 100% in English with English textbooks; all materials provided.
Qualified teachers may teach English, business, and/or hospitality courses.
Key Responsibilities: 
Teaching young adults, college students, ages 17-22. Class size 20-30 students, maximum.
Full-time teaching schedule not to exceed 16-18 classes (45 minute periods) per week.
Part-time teachers: 8-10 hrs/wk.; courses may be scheduled in a block, one or two days/wk.
Developing challenging & creative lesson plans.
Maintaining student records, weekly & final semester grades.
Attending occasional teacher meetings, training and participating in related student activities.
Must Have:
1. BA or MA degree: major in education, English, journalism, international businessaccountinghospitality management degree or diploma + hotel industry experience.
2. Minimuim 3-5 yearsˇ teaching/training experience in secondary or higher education preferred.
3. Positive attitude and enthusiasm for teaching; patience and multicultural understanding of Chinese studentsˇ needs.
Nice to have:
Teaching experience in IELTS training & preparation.
Working experience in multi-national company or 4/5-star, international hotel.

Food and Beverage Program Instructor
Job description:
(1) F & B professional knowledge
1.In charge of the F&B Department operation activities in conjunction with the F & B academic course planning
2.Involvement in the development, revision, implementation and administration of courses and study days
3.Delivering lectures, seminars and tutorials
4.Assessing students’ coursework
5.Setting and marking examinations
6.Supporting students through a pastoral/advisory role
7.Engagement in open, honest and transparent communication with all internal and external stakeholders
8.Creating a professional, supportive, friendly and challenging environment that enable all learners and staff to achieve their full potential and meet College needs

5.Overseeing maintenance of the facility and contract for repairs as necessary in the F & B Department (kitchen and restaurant areas)

Director of Study-BM program
Job description:
1.All BM academic staff(full time, casual and adjunct)and advising the IEC or STU library staff with responsibility for the BM collection
2.Maintain overall quality assurance of International Diploma Program(core member of the IEC decision-making team)
3.Provide recommendations for training needs for the BM professional course lecturing staff and for the Touchstone program, the IELTS preparation courses and other intensive English courses taken by the BM students
4.Oversee examination processes with assistance from moderators from BMIHMS Australia
5.Provide a monthly report of the program operation to DAA in BMIHMS Australia
6.Liaise with BMIHMS, IEC and the STU president on all matters concerning the BM program
7.Implement the course program per required BMIHMS Australia standards, in cooperation with BM and IEC staff
8.Liaise and develop contacts with the hospitality industry locally, nationally and internationally
9.Represent Blue Mountains Hotel School China within the hospitality industry and in public relations
10.Conduct tutorials. Lecturers, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops and field trips as needed
11.Chair course team meetings
